Toronto, Canada, March 10, 2016 – Centura Tile (www.centura.ca), North America's premier distributor of both residential and commercial floor and wall fashions, is announcing a new addition to its selection of products. As a proud carrier of Schluter brand tiling and interior design finishing products, Centura has added the latest line of Schluter Trendline profiles to its inventory.
"Profiles are a form of finishing and edge protection that takes the place of caulking on walls, floors, countertops, stairs, and other tiled surfaces," explains Ross Keltie, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Centura Tile. “They give edge protection and guard against cracking or chipping while allowing easy transition between any adjacent floor or wall coverings. It’s a more integrated approach to design than a simple filler and creates a beautiful finished look to installations."
The Trendline series of profiles are designed to match the latest developments in tile trends. Currently, tile that mimics wood, concrete, or greige and metallic-coloured surfaces are highly popular. Trendline offers seven distinct colours to match this trend, all of which are incorporated into the brand's "Jolly", "Rondec", or "Quadec" profiles.
"The profiles are texture-coated and make use of an aluminum finish for both aesthetic and durability purposes," adds Keltie. “The main benefit with a profile is that it can add more to a surface's appearance than simple caulking, especially when it seamlessly matches with the tile used."
The Schluter Trendline profiles are available in heights ranging from 1/4" (4.5 mm) to 1/2" (12.5 mm) and in 90-degree inside or outside corners. All Trendline profiles are available now from Centura Tile dealers.
