This is an indication of the friction or abrasion resistance of the tile finishing surface.
PEI 3: For light traffic. Residental floor protected against abrasive agents such as sand, gravel and soil.
PEI 4: For medium traffic. Residential or light commercial floor protected against abrasive agents such as sand, gravel and soil. Example: Residential kitchen, office, boutiques.
PEI 5: High traffic. Residential or commercial floor. Example: cafés, hotels, restaurants.
